Lissa + Cade: Engagements

Thank you to Lissa and Cade for a great engagement session. Lissa brought a style like no other that combined modern pieces with antique hats borrowed from the women in her family. Cade brought his modeling skills from his Abercrombie days. This was my first time shooting a former model. They are truly a gorgeous couple. Here is a preview from their session. The couple will wed in January 2010.

Jennifer Loucks + Brian Payne: Wedding

Jennifer and Brian's wedding had a little bit of everything that one would want on their wedding day: loving family, wildflowers, a congo line, beautiful sunset, and a classic cadillac for the getaway car. Held at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center, the theme was geared towards hollywood glamour meets traditional Mexican, Jennifer being the glamour and the Payne family being the Mexican influence. The bridesmaids wore smokey J Crew, jersey dresses and carried orange bouquets while the groomsmen doned pale gray suits.

Hats off to Jennifer who did most of the planning online. The couple lived in Las Vegas during most of their engagement period and moved to Texas prior to their wedding. I should also note that Jennifer's Florida Gator roots competed with Brian's love for the Longhorns all night long. When Texas won their game against Texas Tech that night. Brian and friends chanted the 'Eyes of Texas'. All in all, everyone had a great night.

Christi + Austin: Wedding

Christi and Austin had so much fun at their wedding that Christi asked if we left early. She said that she was able to enjoy the night and not worry about posing for photos. Their dog, Briz, was part of the wedding party. The props came from the Booth 66 photo booth, and the night was coordinated by Melinda with Magical Marriages. Christi and Austin came to Austin, TX after meeting in Ohio which explains Christi's love for Skyline Chili and Austin's O-H-I-O with his buddies. The party really started when Austin and his dad did their Blues Brothers routine. They then followed that with an old soul routine to Johnnie Taylor's 'Who's Make Love'. Vintage Villas is one of our favorite venues to shoot at. We always meet great people and vendors at the Villas.

Wedding: Nikki + Clint Oller

On Sept.6, 2009, Nikki and Clint walked down the aisle at Shoreline Grill to the theme from Kill Bill. She wore her red gown, and Clint boasts that he was the man in black. The wedding party met early for some Kill Bill-inspired poses. The reception had a rock and roll obsession and was covered in black and red. One night only! And here's how it went...guitar on the buffet, souvenir party pics, red roses, 'Smooth' first dance, cupcakes tower, baseball topper, nix the bats, dancing to 'Kiss', concert ticket invites and toasts to the longtime couple.
